First writing

So this is an early and very preliminary writing, that was done with very little focus or form. I'll go back later and make it more coherent and connected.

The Evolution of the Illusion: or, The Meaning of Life
Perhaps the greatest reason people haven’t come to accept the meaning of life is the illusion that life is somehow sacred, and on a different level than non-life. And, even more, that human life is on a higher level than other forms of life. This isn’t true. Life is just something that happened, and evolution led to where it is today.
Scientists have created life. This is a fact. They are doing what religious fanatics describe as “playing God”. This is to assume God is the only reason why there could be life. The fact of the matter is that life started out as a scientific phenomenon when conditions just happened to be right. There was a good temperature, some electricity did something, and BAM, life. The only reason why this moment is of any worth is because this life was sustained.
So, we had life, some boatload of years ago. Then what? Well, evolution happened. The only reason why life could keep being life was that it reproduced, and increased in number. And there were the abnormalities that occurred, many of which led to life being able to reproduce quicker, and this life advanced quicker.
Eventually, this evolution led to humanity. We are just another link in the chain, nothing special about us. However, we were granted super cool brains which led us to be able to ask questions like the meaning of life. And that’s pretty much where we are now.
While in the past few thousand years, the biological evolution of humanity hasn’t flown by, societal evolution has changed countless times. Societal evolution basically refers to how different societies and cultures have to battle for survival and the ability to pass on just like biological organisms do. While biological organisms fight to reproduce, societies fight to maintain control. This is not a literal fight, just a fight in the sense that the “stronger” societal function will “win” and continue to exist, while the weaker function will lose.
Perhaps the best example of societal evolution is the tool of morality, which faces evolution. While many believe morality to be a set thing, it is not. Different morality is seen in different cultures, different times, and so on. What is considered moral is simply what wins the evolutional battle.
To use as an example, lets talk about the morality of premarital sex. At the time of Christ, premarital sex would likely be considered immoral enough to have a bunch of pissed off people throw stones at you until you learned your lesson and died. Today, however, premarital sex is accepted, although not as completely moral. Why is this? Has this magical thing called morality changed? Are we acting immorally when we have sex with that random? Were people from long ago just ignorant of what was moral? The answer is that “morality” is whatever is going to be beneficial for society. If, in 1000 BC, there were two tribes, one called the Prudies who didn’t believe in premarital sex and, and the other called the Slutties who did, we could say that they could have differing views on the morality of premarital sex. However, when the Slutties had their premarital sex without any form of birth control, there would be a lot of single pregnant ladies. These ladies would have babies with no father, and chances are they would be kinda screwed when it comes to working and providing for the little ones. The Prudies, on the other hand, would only be having babies with a mother and father, which would provide a much more stable environment for the kid to grow up in.
Whats the point of that scenario? Well, the Slutties would have a shit society, and the Prudies would have a more successful one. If the Prudies went to war with the Slutties, they would dominate, and then their prude morals would become the norm. This is how morals are formed. Immoral things lead to society getting fucked. Not because they are inherently bad, just because they don’t work. Look at today. Thanks to condoms and birth control, you aren’t going to get beaten by nuns for touching genitals before getting married. You will still be scolded, especially if you get preggers, but yeah.
So getting back to how we falsely idolize human life. Lets look at a pen. We call it a pen, but what is it really? In reality, its just a bunch of space dust that’s in a particular form that we associate with being a pen. Whats my point with this pen nonsense? Well, in a sense, the way we see the pen as being something set, and not just a gathering of space dust, we see ourselves as being something set and definite. In fact, a human is nothing more than atoms, calcium, neutrons, all those sorts of things. All of our thoughts? Well, those are just weird chemical reactions. Very complicated chemical reactions, but still, chemical reactions.
Now, to the illusion that is the way we conceive of time. We see time in a way with the present, past, future, and all that fun stuff. We see time as moving, growing, advancing. Well, its not. Time is a dimension. It reaches out to infinity, and it is already set. Think of a timeline going to infinity. That’s basically time. Time, in a sense, is simply a measurement of where all of the space dust is (in a 3 dimensional field). In different areas of time, the space dust is in different areas. If we take one moment in the space dust, we will have a stationary positioning of all of the space dust that makes up our human form. If we take another space in time, the space dust will be in a different position, and the chemical reactions formed in the brain will be differently. This change in chemical reactions leads to the ever changing personality and thoughts. It can also show how we see time as an illusion. At each certain point in time, we have the feeling that we are moving forward. Well, kinda, but not really. Really us moving forward is just the space dust moving position and forming new chemical reactions. Our view of the past is just a chemical reaction that keeps references to past chemical reactions, and our sense of the future is just to make sure we are working towards something.
